Rural Micro-Enterprise Accelerator Program

The objective of rural micro-acceleration program is to help rural entrepreneurs improve and grow their micro business and boost the growth of small and tiny enterprise sector  to bring real social and economic change in Nepal. This one year training and mentoring program will support passionate and driven entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses to further create employment opportunities and have a positive impact on their surroundings.

Application would be invited either directly from  micro-entrepreneurs or through NGOs supporting micro-entrepreneurs. 10 participants would be selected for the program based on the participant’s willingness to learn and grow their enterprise.   Participants will be provided business development training and tailor made workshops to co-create the necessary environment for scaling up their ventures.  Main beneficiary of the program will be female entrepreneurs from the marginalized community however program will also accommodate the youths, school dropouts, orphans and children of destitute women. Currently,  the program will be launched in Dhanusha district and subsequently it will be replicated in other parts of Nepal as well.

Rural Micro-Acceleration Program is free for participating entrepreneurs and funds for the program will be generated either through donations or nomination fee (paid by NGOs nominating micro-entrepreneurs).
WDAC is implementing this program in partnership with YLEF, USA together with the technical support from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India.
